Newman Regional Health Hospital
My name is Steve Bazan and I am the Business Development Director at Newman Regional Health, a community hospital in Emporia, KS.
About a year ago we embarked on a strategic goal of improving our review ratings on Google. We understand that people rely upon reviews when deciding their healthcare providers and felt that our 2.6 rating was biased, based upon other reviews such as internal surveys and Press Gainey results.
We engaged Chris Walker and his organization to assist us through technology to encourage more reviews and to direct problematic reviews to us to be addressed by our team to improve patient experience.
During the engagement, our Google Review Scores have improved from 2.6 to 4.1, a more realistic opinion of our hospital based upon our other surveys. Best yet, we have been able to share the reviews with our staff to encourage great patient care, and we have been able to engage with patients to build a better patient experience.
